Past News February, 2003 Dear Friends:
As this exciting new year begins, we are pleased to share some more good news in the life of Cogan Owens Cogan:
KIRSTIN GREENE AND MATT HASTIE HAVE BECOME PRINCIPALS. Kirstin has been with COC seven years and is an AICP planner with joint masters degrees in Community and Regional Planning and Asian Studies from the University of Oregon. Matt has been with us nine years and also is an AICP planner, with a masters degree in Regional Planning from Cornell University. To know them - as many of you do - is to appreciate their delightful personalities and fine professional work. We look forward to many more years together.
COC CONTINUES TO WORK WITH A VARIETY OF INTERESTING
CLIENTS. Arnold is managing the complicated public involvement and
agency coordination efforts to find solutions to the growing transportation
problems on Highway 99W in the Newberg-Dundee area. Jim is managing sub-basin
planning in Oregon for the Northwest Power Planning Council. These plans
will guide funding decisions about projects to mitigate the effects of the
region's hydropower system on fish and wildlife. In addition to spending
time in Juneau helping Alaskans work through vexing traffic issues on the main
road in their capital city, Elaine was featured in a recent article in
Planning magazine about "Plan Rage." You may be interested in the
enclosed excerpt.
