Past News September, 2002 Dear Friends: Life goes on at a heady pace here at Cogan Owens Cogan! We are pleased to share our good news. Complete Communities Continues to Garner Awards. Some of you may remember that this spring we were honored by the American Planning Association with its annual Public Education Award for Complete Communities for Clackamas County. In close collaboration with the County, we designed and managed a project that engaged the hearts and minds of thousands of citizens in that growing area of the Portland region. Now, IAP2 -- the International Association for Public Participation, Cascade Chapter -- is giving us its Award for Excellence in recognition of the next phase, Complete Connections. To our knowledge, this pioneering work -- to develop governance models to connect unincorporated areas more closely with Clackamas County -- is not replicated anywhere else. DAMIAN PITT HAS JOINED US. Damian recently received a masters degree in community and regional planning from the University of Oregon and already has had valuable experience in code review and environmental studies. He is a conscientious, accomplished young man who has lost no time becoming familiar with our many projects. Were delighted to welcome him as our new associate planner. Past News:
