Planning » Transportation
COC is involved with many statewide, regional and local transportation planning projects. We often serve as policy and strategic advisors on these projects, especially where land use, transportation, citizen outreach, public policy and sustainability concerns overlap. In instances where controversy arises, we employ techniques which can resolve conflict. For much of our work, we manage and/or support specialty firms undertaking a variety of transportation-related efforts, including:
- Bridge construction, replacement or reconstruction projects
- Climate change and peak oil action plans
- Transportation system planning, including downtown, corridor, couplet, and specific area plans
- Multi-modal system planning, including transit, trails and greenway plans
- Transportation demand management policy, plans and programs
- Green street/main street planning and projects
- Interchange area management plans
- Circulation and access management plans
- Transportation research and policy analyses
