COC regularly utilizes the Internet to collect and summarize public comments. We develop websites for many of our projects that clearly communicate information to interested citizens, encourage feedback when appropriate, and give our clients’ projects a necessary online presence. Our project websites are regularly updated with pertinent information, including a project overview and timeline, important contacts, schedules for public events, opportunities to be involved, answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), updates on the project’s status, photos and the ability to view or download documents (informational and public outreach materials, meeting summaries, and draft and final plans). We incorporate various interactive features that give people opportunities to learn about the project and comment on the process and products, including a comment form, mailing list subscription, links to online surveys, and social media tools to help spread project content across the Web. We also utilize Web-based survey tools and have the ability to link online surveys to project Web pages.
